5-hour energy drinks are not like all the other energy drinks that are out in the market. For once, you cannot drink them whenever you feel you want to. This is one of the biggest factor that differentiates 5-hour energy drinks from the rest.

It might be because you have tons of work that needs all your physical strength or those athletes that are preparing for a game or competition. These are mostly the people who take advantage of 5-hour energy drinks.

What is 5-hour energy drink?

The concept of 5-hour energy drinks may have arouse from the need to get on with the day even if you have been through a full night of partying and lots of drinking. In simple terms, people need something to sure their hangovers. Something that can help them face the day without the hangover catching up every now and then.

This is the same concept behind 5-hour energy drinks. Those who opt to drink this are those who need a sudden burst of energy to accomplish a task or duty. All this they can do even if they have just been through a rough day or a late night affair that seem to consume all of their stored energy.

How does 5-hour energy drink works?

Once you have taken a shot of 5-hour energy drinks, all your reserve energy will be back at its fullest. You will find that in just a short span of time, the feeling of weakness will disappear. In its place is the strength and energy that is the same as when you had a good night sleep or a day of rest. This is how 5-hour energy drink works.

If you think that you cannot get on with the things you need to do for the day, taking an ounce of 5-hour energy drink is enough to renew and rejuvenate your body so that you can last the whole day without any trouble at all. And this is never mind the fact that you have yourself a hangover or have already done many things before you took the 5-hour energy drink.

Should you or should you not drink 5-hour energy drinks?

As was already mentioned, 5-hour energy drinks are not something to take when you feel the urge to. You need to need the additional energy before you take this kind of energy drink.

All you need is a small shot of 5-hour energy drink that will then equate to 100% pure energy. As this is not for purposes of taste and enjoyment, you need to endure its tasteless appeal to be able to make the most of the purpose that 5-hour energy drinks are known for.

With the popularity that Red Bull energy drinks comes the speculations about the side effects that it may have on those who are taking them.

From the time that Red Bull first came out in the market, it became an instant hit among those who have tried and tested its effects on the body. It is no wonder why this energy drink have become a household name in no time at all.

But along with its popularity came the speculations about its side effects. The idea is that if something is that good, then there must be something in the ingredient that can bring the opposite reaction. This may be one of the thoughts that the not-so-convinced consumers have in mind.

One of the side effects that is being pointed out in Red Bull energy drinks is its caffeine content. There are those who believe that there are high amounts of caffeine being contained in a single bottle of this energy drink.

What people do not know about is that the amount of caffeine present in Red Bull energy drinks is the same as the amount that is in one cup of coffee that people normally like to take.

Caffeine in every other beverage is really not good for the health. Every health expert knows that high consumption of caffeine can bring about high blood pressure, alleviate heart disease risk and even diabetes. That is, if you are one of those who are addicted or is used to taking any beverage high on caffeine more than the normal number of times.

But caffeine is also known for the benefits that it can bring to the body. Caffeine has the tendency to perk you up in times of weariness. It increases heart rate to give you that energy boost when you feel tired and drained already. These benefits are what the makers of Red Bull energy drink are focusing on.

This just shows that caffeine in Red Bull energy drinks, in other energy drinks and other types of beverage is one issue that can be subjected to debates based from those who have seen more of its positive or negative effects.

For those who are used to drinking Red Bull energy drinks, the only side effects that they have seen so far is the increased nervousness and anxiety. This is especially experienced by those whose body have gotten used to taking regular amounts of this energy drink.

It can be pointed out that this reaction is not only seen from those who are taking Red Bull energy drinks. Almost all people who are dependent on any kind of energy drink have been found to be experiencing the same things.

This is normal and to be expected from energy drinks. For that matter, any beverage that has caffeine content.

That is why it is important that you should know firsthand what your body can tolerate and what it cannot. Before taking on energy drinks, make sure that you are aware of the ingredients that is present in every can or bottle.

If you already have health problems, you first have to ask your doctor if it fine for you to take energy drinks. Experts advice are still the best advice of all.

Try drinking Red Bull energy drinks and see how your body reacts to its effect. If you feel any side effects after sometime, you can always choose to stop drinking Red Bull energy drinks and get another. The choice is up to you.

I use Monster on a regular basis, but I don’t understand why I feel so great after drink one.

Also, I often get a headache after drinking coffee, but could it be related to making my coffee very strong?

Also, is it possible to get strongly addicted to Monster or other energy drinks?

Also, does anyone have an experienced opinion (somone having drunk Monster on several occasions) on what energy drink has the best effects and least side effects, etc.

Does anyone know why caffeine pills make me feel terrible/anxious?

Please do not advise me to stop drinking Monster or other energy drinks please.

Energy drinks are full of both caffeine and sugar…
Sugar and caffeine are both addictive, and can cause withdrawal symptoms.

Some symptoms of withdrawal are anxiety, headache and nausea.

Sometimes caffeine pills make you feel anxious because the caffeine is keying you up, and you have no way of stopping it.

Normally your body generates a heightened state of awareness in response to danger or stress, and when the danger is gone it shuts it off.

Caffeine works like this, heightening your alertness, but there is no way for your body to turn it off – until it wears off.

Some energy drinks hide their active ingredient by telling the name of the plant that it came from, or using another name. An example is Yerba Matte. This is chemically similar to caffeine, and is just as addictive.

I don’t drink a lot of pop, but lately I have been having these cravings for pop and Energy drinks. I was thinking for the month of October that I wouldn’t drink pop and energy drinks and see how that goes because for one that is just a lot of sugar to have. Do you think that is a good thing to try or should I try something else? I was going to drink milk and water.

Try to slowly wean yourself off of it. If you just quit drinking soda and energy drinks, you will have horrible caffeine withdrawl.

Energy beverages have hit the market and have become an important fluid intake for many people.   All of these beverages claim to have energy boosting benefits.  They list on their packaging labels all of the important ingredients that are contained in the drink.  Those advertising energy benefits usually include things like caffeine, tuarine and guarana.  They also want to promote their healthy side so the ingredient list may also include vitamins, minerals and herbs.  They are sometimes vague about their sugar content because of its effect on the body after the initial “high”.  And, knowing the sodium content is important, especially for anyone experiencing high blood pressure or cholesterol problems.

Energy drinks have actually been around for many, many years but have just recently become popular in the United States.  They were originally produced primary to promote health and energy efficiency to people in Europe and parts of Asia.  Red Bull was the first energy drink to hit the marketplace in the United States.  Red Bull and most other energy drinks are non-alcoholic and are made up of vitamins and energy boosters.  They started out as the drink of choice for many American athletes who were competing in games or working out.  The public, especially youngsters, were impressed by the rave reviews the drinks received from athletes and the run on energy beverages began.

Energy drinks continue to be very, very popular in the United States and more of them are being produced daily.  They are considered part of the soft drink industry and many companies see a real chance for profit by producing them.  They have even hit the alcoholic beverage market by being offered by some companies such as Anheuser-Busch.

There are many brands of energy beverages now available.  The most popular brands, such as Red Bull, contain certain chemicals, compounds, herbs and vitamins and all have their own unique taste.  Some claim to have more health-related components than others and some simply taste better and are more appealing.  In today’s hectic society, people are doing more things and need something to basically keep them going.  Energy drinks have filled that gap for many because they do provide a flavorful way to keep fit.

Many parents today are concerned about the energy drink fad that has taken off in the United States.  They see their children drinking these new concoctions and are wondering just what they are.  They are worried that they are not getting factual energy drink information from their children.   All they are being told is that everyone is drinking them to boost their stamina, mental capabilities and athletic performance.  They have many questions about the drinks and, in some cases, are alarmed at the number of these drinks that are being consumed by their teenagers.  They’ve heard horror stories about children mixing these drinks with alcohol and being taken to the emergency room for treatment.  All they really want to know is how safe are they?

The sale of energy drinks has grown tremendously in the United States during the past three years.  It is a very popular beverage that has brought in more than $744 million dollars to energy drink manufacturers.  The drinks first entered the U.S. marketplace in
1997 and sales have grown steadily since then.  They usually have more caffeine content than soda and contain other ingredients such as glucose, guarana and taurine which are energy boosters.

The caffeine content in energy drinks is assumed to be safe by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.  The amount of caffeine in these and other drinks is within reasonable levels and is accepted as not being harmful by the American Medical Association as long as it is consumed responsibly.  Moderation is the key and experts consider 300 mg of caffeine (equivalent to 3 cups of coffee) per day as acceptable levels for most people.

The caffeine in energy drinks has been shown to boost physical and mental performance. Fewer mood swings occur after ingesting an energy drink and physical performance improves.  Reaction time seems to be quicker after consuming the beverage.  The bottom line for parents seeking energy drink information is to look at the age and personality of their child.  They then need to decide if their child has the right physical makeup to ingest an energy drink.  And, of course, moderation must be kept foremost in their minds.

An energy drinks review deserves a close look by anyone who is contemplating trying one of these relatively new energy products.  People who are feeling drained of energy often want to find something that will give them a certain feeling of euphoria and well being.  Energy beverages can do just that and work better than water, fruit juice or soft drinks to provide that much needed energy rejuvenation.  They seem, at least, to have better nutritional value than the sugary contents of soda pop and even some fruit juices.

Most soft drinks contain artificial stimulants, coloring and preservatives that don’t promote good health.  Energy beverages, on the other hand, at least have some healthy components like Vitamin B and other nutrients.  There is even a health drink that is receiving rave reviews by the well-known bicyclist, Lance Armstrong.  It is called FRS and is catching on all over the world.

FRS doesn’t contain any artificial stimulants like many soft drinks.  It is jam packed with antioxidants and additional nutrients that go directly into the blood stream for purification purposes.  It also works wonders with tissue rejuvenation as they are releasing stores of energy.  It is an enhancer of physical output during exercise periods and it doesn’t hide the symptoms of fatigue.  This has long-term influence on the number of hours a person can go on exerting himself.  It comes in a can or in powder form and actually can be chewed like candy while in the process of exercising.  It is made up of high-quality components and its taste is reported to be fantastic.

This FRS energy drinks review focused on is just one of the many excellent health drinks that are available today.  It just happens to be one of the choices of many of today’s leading athletes.  It is certainly a convenient way to provide the energy and stamina needed during strenuous exercise periods.   It is a new kind of energy drink that provides essential vitamins and nutrients in a healthy way.  Its primary ingredient mimics the antioxidants found in many fruits and vegetables.

The past several years has seen high energy drinks become more and more popular.  They are fast becoming the drink of choice for teenagers and adults.  They are made up primarily of high doses of caffeine which give immediate energy boosts.  They are very, very sweet and have more caffeine than regular coffee.  They give their users a high that they can’t get with soda or other caffeinated beverages.  They are one of the most popular and consumed beverages on college campuses and most students rely on them to get them through long study days.  However, there is a growing concern that these drinks are more harmful than what was once believed.

These drinks are believed by some to contain harmful levels of caffeine which can cause a person to unrealistically believe that they are more alert than what they really are.  They give an intoxicating high after being consumed and this is not the best place to be when a person is driving a car, for example.  Studies are also showing that students ingesting energy drinks regularly tend to use stimulants later on in life.  High energy beverages contain extremely high levels of caffeine that can be as much as 14 times that of a regular soda.  They can also produce side effects such as nausea, vomiting, numbness, high blood pressure and tremors.

Energy drinks are not required to carry warning labels which is a growing concern amond some members of the medical community.  People consuming the drinks may not be aware of the potential dangers that go along with the drink.  Some of these dangers include anxiety, insomnia, rapid heartbeat and nervousness.  Knowing the dangers at least gives people the opportunity to weigh any benefits from the drink against its dangers and then decide if it’s something they are willing to try.  However, opponents of warning labels argue that there is no such requirement necessary of caffeinated coffee that is being sold in coffeehouses.  High energy drinks most likely are here to stay.  Their future sales, however, depend on when and if any government regulations are administered at some point down the road.
